Feeling bad sucks

When I started writing this blog I wasn't feeling a 100%, then I just got worse to the point you just don’t feel like doing anything. This is a far cry from my norm, I’m normally a healthy person; this feeling bad lasted from the beginning of September to November 7th. I saw 3 different Doctors, I had test run and everything came back normal. As suddenly as it started in September, I woke up on November 8th and felt better. It was like I was never sick.
I have Crohn’s disease, my Crohns is not bad compared to some I know with it, but I have it and I deal with it through medication. It wasn't until I as feeling better that I realized why I was sick for 10 weeks, it was because of my Crohns; when I get stressed out about something is when it seems to get bad, only this time I had some other things going on that I didn't realize that's what it was. The thing that stressed me was paying my car insurance.

My car insurance is $3733.14 a year, yeah that’s a lot, but I insure 5 cars and 3 of them have full coverage on them. In July I got an email from my insurance company letting me know what my premium was going to be and due on October 10th. So I set to planning how I would pay it. I had it all planned out; had enough to pay it, everything was looking good.
My water heater went up 3 days after vacation cost me $1436.00, then the heater in the hot tub went up, another $270.00; so there went my extra cash. I end up taking $1200.00 dollars out of savings to pay it all off at once. But the stress from figure out how to pay it and the thought of paying it monthly made me sick. I will know better next year, because feeling bad sucks.

Weekly wrap up

I feel like I spent a little to much this week, and I’ll explain each one or should I say I’ll to justify each one, some are pretty normal. Monday I order a pair of shoe from Amazon, needed some casuals for the weekend, tired of wearing sneakers, I’m not that young anymore; damn hurt to say. Tuesday I hit the ATM for $120.00, half went to pay for 3 weeks of bowling, the other half went to pay for 4 bags of corn, and a bail of hay; the hay was for my rabbit, the corn is to feed the deer in the winter. Wednesday had to pick up a prescription from Walgreen's and today I paid the water bill; here’s the break down.

Weekend wrap up

So I got thought the weekend without any major damage to the checkbook, picked up a new water bowl for my dogs ($39.21), grab a few things at the store my wife forgot ($16.07), I got gas in the Durango ($33.00). I had to get gas in my car this weekend ($33.25); I don’t drive the car that often so putting gas it only happens 6-7 weeks. I really should drive it, it gets 30 mpg, and the Durango gets 13.5 mpg. I don’t drive a lot, mainly to and from work, which is only 22 miles round trip, trip to the Bowling Alley once a week, and when winter comes the car doesn't leave the garage.

I’m planning on getting a new car, so I took the car to Carmax to get it appraised on Saturday, I felt they were a little short on what they offered, but I know that’s the best deal I’m going to get. I did decide to wait until spring time to buy, that way there is more of a selection of what I’m looking for.

Payday Friday

TGIF, which means its paid day, which means it’s also another bill day, but I got a lot more coming in then going out.
Coming in
Paycheck $2234.37
Going out
Utility’s (gas & electric) $271.27
Car #3 $400.00 (balance  $19,032.53)
Gym membership $10.00

Normally I pay my cell phone, cable and utility bill on the same day or there about, but this October has things kinda outta whack with my car insurance. Now things are back on track, I knew I was going to have a week where the bank account was low; I just was sure how low. My car insurance went up $600.00 this year, and I wasn't quite prepared for it or just not really happy about it. I pay it once a year because it saves me 5% and I just hate paying car insurance every month. Have a great weekend.

Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my blog, this blog is about the everyday normal crap that happens to me and how I deal with it. So come along with me on my adventure to being debt free and doing my best to save for retirement. I’ll tell you more about myself as I go along, so I’ll get to it.

Today is a bill day, $400.00 to Bank of America for car#2; bring the balance down to $11.663.77. I normally pay $700.00 on this, but my car insurance was due this month, more about that in another post. Tomorrow the cable bill is due; it’s $196.64, let’s just say I hate Comcast and will end it there.
